West Ham United has reportedly made initial contact regarding AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah, following the breakdown of negotiations between Milan and Napoli. The 22-year-old U.S. international, who made 40 appearances last season and helped Milan win the Supercoppa Italiana, is now attracting interest from Premier League clubs.
Napoli had previously agreed on a deal worth around €25 million including bonuses, but Milan raised their demands, causing the Italian champions to back away. Musah was keen on working under Antonio Conte, but with that move now uncertain, a return to England is back on the table.
West Ham have asked for details about the conditions of a potential transfer but have yet to make a formal offer. Sources suggest the Hammers are waiting to see if Milan will lower their valuation. Musah, who came through Arsenal’s academy before joining Valencia and later Milan, is known for his box-to-box energy and versatility traits that could suit Graham Potter’s midfield rebuild.
With several senior players departing the London Stadium this summer, Musah could be a key addition if West Ham decides to move forward.
